Sally Duane

I am a style therapist, essential oil educator & yoga instructor. My background is in Fashion and with over 25 years in the industry, running my own Fashion Agency in Sydney, I started Style Therapy KL in 2014. I get immense joy in empowering women by teaching them how to tap into their true nature and dress with style for their body shape, personality and budget. After amazing results with using Essential oils on myself and my family, I decided to educate myself further and I now run free community classes sharing my knowledge of their benefits with others. Yoga as a practice has moved me on so many levels and during my 200 Teacher Training at Yogshakti in 2017. I experienced a profound emotional shift. During this time I was particularly drawn to the practice of Yin, I find it to be a very nurturing and healing practice. I use my essential oils in all of my Yin Classes and Style Therapy sessions so that my students and clients can also benefit from their amazing therapeutic value.

Using Essential oils and carefully curated soundtracks my goal is provide my students a nurturing space to feel and to heal. My hope is that my students walk off the mat with a little more space not only physically but emotionally as well.
Yin Yoga : Yin Yoga is based on the Taoist concept of Yin & Yang, opposite and complementary principles in nature. Yin is the stable, unmoving, hidden aspect of things; Yang is the changing, moving, revealing aspect.
In the body, the relatively stiff connective tissues(tendons, ligaments, fascia) are Yin, while the more mobile and pliable muscles and blood are Yang. A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.
